The next morning we .....

.... continued motoring back up the lake. The wind was from the west and we were headed west and the lake is very narrow in this canyon section so motoring it was.

It is hard to ....

.... begin to capture all .....

.... the beauty the lake has to offer. We would highly recommend the trip to anyone.

We passed the boat campground at Hideout Canyon and ...

..... took the passage around Kingfisher Island on the south and west sides as we had gone down the lake on the east side of Kingfisher.

We were soon back to the beautiful red escarpment that gives meaning to Flaming Gorge's name. The wind was now in our favor to some degree headed somewhat north and we were able to sail a couple miles of this stretch. As we approached the cut-off that allows you to bypass Horseshoe Canyon we went back on the motor as it is fairly narrow.

Entering the cut we were surprised to find a small .....

.... herd of Big Horn Sheep grazing just a short distance away along the shoreline. They weren't the least bit concerned about us passing nearby.

.... We exited the cut and then did a 180 degree turn back into a beautiful bay that is parallel to the end of the cut.

It was a spectacular setting and we beached the boat and had the small bay all to ourselves for the rest of the day and that night.

The sky darkened to the west of us and we were treated to a brief shower but the clouds just added to ....

.... the great mood of the place.

We took a short hike to the bay just to the south of us and then returned to the boat...

.... for what turned out to be ....

..... a very .....

..... dramatic .....

..... end to the day.

Dottie managed to catch a nice photo of an alien swimming nearby.

During another brief shower some .....

..... mommies and ....

... their babies went ashore for a while.

The great day ended with .....

..... a beautiful sunset.
